Stand Up Paddling is an ancient form of surfing. It can be traced as far back as ancient Polynesia. It combines the classic surfboard with paddles with the rider paddling the board standing up as the waves help the board go faster. It is a crossover sport that can be practiced even if there are no waves or wind. Thanks to this SUP has drawn the attention of fans of other disciplines like surfing, kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing. If there are no waves or wind the other side of SUP can still be experienced: cruising along the coast.
